Research interests: Luke’s research focuses around the development of new techniques for quantifying disease biomarkers in blood, an area which is becoming increasingly important for diagnosing and treating diseases ranging from HIV to cancer. To this end, Luke has developed a number of techniques to increase the sensitivity of these tests toward the fundamental level of detecting single molecules.
Personal Interests: In his spare time, Lucas is an avid traveler and outdoor enthusiast. He enjoys hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, white water rafting, skiing, and spelunking (cave exploration).
